Army provides aid to migrant labourers in North Kashmir | KNO

Baramulla/Handwara, Mar 30 (KNO): Two Indian Army units in twin districts of northern belt of Kashmir, Baramulla and Handwara in kupwara distributed essentials food items among the migrant labourers in distress amid the lockdown enforced in view of pandemic Coronavirus across the globe including Jammu and kashmir. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Army's 52 RR in Delina Baramulla and 21 RR in Handwara distributed essentials food items among the migrant labourers including children. In Baramulla officials said a kind outreach was held to meet the needs of distressed people amid the complete lockdown due to pandemic scare across the globe including Jammu and Kashmir, Army's 52 RR provided food items, dry ration to the migrant labourers including those without anything to eat. Officials in Handwara said Army's 21 RR went out to provide the essential food items to over 5 dozen migrant labourers in zachaldara and Bagatpora and children were also provided the food items. The benefitted migrant labourers thanked the local Army units (52RR and 21 RR) and extended their gratitude for reaching out to them amid the unavailability of essential food items due to lockdown enforced in view of Corona-virus pandemic infection. The local 52 RR amd 21 RR units have assured all of the migrations not to hesitate in case of any need and let them know if need arises all their genuine grievances will be addressed early with top priority—(KNO)
